WORK HOURS: PRN Rotating shifts, includes holidays requirements
DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS :
•Level I Trauma Center
•Comprehensive Heart Attack and Stroke Center

•Holiday and minimum call rotation required
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Education :
•H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
•Graduate of an AMA approved / accredited Ultrasound Program preferred
•Associate degree preferred
Experience :
•1 Year experience in a hospital setting preferred
Licenses and Certifications :
•BCLS-Basic Cardiac Life Support-prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
•ARRT-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography-Upon Hire preferred and
•ARRT-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography-12 Months required or
•ARDMS-American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers-Upon Hire preferred and
•ARDMS-American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers-12 Months required
WHAT YOU WILL DO
•Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing:
•Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to and during exam.
•Images correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols.
•Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
•Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, suggest differential diagnosis.
•Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS.
•Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
