We are responsible for developing a collaborative system of care for individuals in crisis in the NTBHA service area. We are focused on trauma-informed, resilience-oriented care in all services provided.
Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides Clinical Supervision to Advanced Practice Registered Nurses on staff.
- Delegates prescription authority for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses on staff, approving all Schedule II/IIN Controlled Substances
- Ensures availability for consultation with difficult cases in person, by telephone, or by other electronic means of communication.
- Collaborates with APRNs to evaluate the needs of individuals with mental illness and to develop a treatment plan including the prescribing of medications.
- Collaborates with leadership to develop needed policies and procedures to comply with State and other regulatory agencies.
- Participates in the hiring selection of new medical staff.
- Provides clinical/medical representation on various committees.
- Maintains all mandated training and certifications.
- Facility Hours are 10 - 7 PM. You must be reachable during those hours and on call as needed.
- Duties and projects may be assigned or changed to meet business needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to include the ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and build teams.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, time management, and attention to detail skills.
- Adept computer skills
- Strong knowledge of state laws, regulations, and requirements pertaining to PMHNP supervision
- Proven and effective leadership abilities.
- Ability to operate in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrated creativity and flexibility.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., with an ability to become familiar with company-specific programs and software.
- Must be able to work on and have knowledge of a PC (personal computer).
