North Texas Tollway Authority is Hiring an Asset Management Data Analyst Near Plano, TX

Summary:

The Asset Management Data Analyst is a member of the analytical team supporting the Maintenance Department. The role involves the collection, organization, audit, cleansing, and retirement of data to support decisions and activities undertaken by NTTA Asset Management Division and Maintenance Department. The Asset Management Data Analyst works closely with the Asset Management Sr. Data Analyst to ensure the data collected and maintained provides useful information and knowledge to the organization with limited guidance from a more experienced analyst or manager.

This is a designated Essential Employee, whose attendance is required to maintain agency operations during an emergency or inclement weather situation.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures asset data is accurate and maintained in accordance with appropriate data standards and suggests new/updated standards as needed.
  • Assures the quality of data for existing and new assets, including asset condition and performance inspection reports, and other data provided by contractors.
  • Analyzes data for non-standard practices, errors, and inconsistent processes/metrics and presents detailed improvement plans to supervisor.
  • Monitors data collection activities and associated inputs into the Asset Management System for accuracy.
  • Prepares and provides reports on system compliance.
  • Assists end-users with system use, workflows, and data input.
  • Monitors and reports on compliance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Creates data templates for asset condition assessments and inspection criteria.
  • Trains staff on data quality and asset assessment practices, methods, and field implementation, including the implementation and use of mobile platforms and solutions.
  • Performs field asset data collection or validation as appropriate and makes daily entries into the computerized asset management system.
  • Participates in the collection of raw data for input into asset management tracking software and aides in the collection of field data.
  • Performs the conversion, organization, and cleaning of data.
  • Manipulates data to generate reports, maps, and other technical documents.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

· 3 -5 years’ experience in the field of data analysis, data science, statistics, business analysis, engineering, reports, and dashboards process building or other relevant area.

· Strong analytical skills and judgement; documentation and research skills.

· Technical understanding of data modelling; ability to write scripts for data reporting; basic understanding of how to use statistics.

· Advanced proficiency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.).

· Proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL) and database querying.

· Familiarity with Data Quality methods and standards

Preferred:

· Understanding of data structures, relationships, and interdependencies.

· Experience using Structured Query Language (SQL) to query databases and reporting results in a summarized format.

· Experience with Asset Management Software and Geographic Information Systems (ArcGIS).

· Experience with performing data preparation work (e.g., source, scrub, mine, and integrate relevant data sources) needed for the delivery of reports and dashboards.

· BI Experience
