Primary Function: This position provides high-level administrative support and project coordination to support the activities of the office of Human Resources.

Responsibilities:(1) Provide a front desk presence for the Office of Human Resources. (2) Provide occasional administrative support to the HR Department, including but not limited to preparing documents for meetings, answering and directing phone calls, processing and directing mail and incoming packages or deliveries, writing and issuing communications as directed. (3) Coordinate recurring projects and meetings including new employee orientation, commencement, wellness events and other projects as assigned. Track clearances and faculty tenure and promotion process. (4) Answer general Human Resources related inquiries. (5) Compile and manage data related to Human Resources processes. (6) Maintain Human Resources SharePoint site. (7) Ensure effective communications and coordination between Human Resources and other units and offices. (8) Assist in organizing and managing events on behalf of the office of Human Resources. (10) Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Organizational Relationships: (1) Responsible to the immediate supervisor for performance of assigned responsibilities. (2) Ability to relate well to people to ensure that the office is projected in an effective manner in dealing with both internal and external constituencies of the College. (3) Coordinate work within the office and between offices with other staff members. (4) Relate role to College and office goals.

Performance Standards: Performance in this position is considered satisfactory when: (1) Responsibilities have been accomplished within a specified period; (2) Responsibilities of the position have been carried out at a level consistent with performance objectives; (3) Effective cooperative relationships exist with staff, faculty, students, and other members of the College community.

Qualifications: (1) Education: HS Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred. (2) Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: (a) Excellent interpersonal skills (b) Effectively prioritize and manage tasks (c) Ability to deal with faculty, staff and students in a kind and patient manner (d) Approach problems proactively, independently and creatively (e) Detail oriented (f) Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality (g) Computer Skills: Proficient in technology systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive). (3) Experience: Three or more years of administrative or project experience in higher education setting preferred.
