Northeast Animal Hospital is Hiring an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician - St. Petersburg, FL Near Saint Petersburg, FL

Who we are::

Northeast Animal Hospital and Downtown St. Pete Vet Clinic are looking for Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team!

  • Opportunity to learn, grow, and develop in a career you truly love.
  • Outstanding team of dedicated coworkers who want to see each other succeed.
  • We are Devoted to Pets and Their People—and OUR people. We believe happy employees make happy workplaces.

Ignite your excitement in providing exceptional care for pets and their owners. We would love to have you join our multi-doctor team at Northeast Animal Hospital and Downtown St. Pete Vet Clinic, sister practices in two of the most sought-after locations in St. Pete. We strive for a fun, friendly atmosphere where everyone, including the pets, feels relaxed. Our team is the heart of our practice and is the reason we are able to offer the highest level of service to our clients. Our growth has allowed us to offer state-of-the-art technology while still maintaining the local business feel that makes St. Pete so great.

About us

For over 40 years, Northeast Animal Hospital has been Devoted to Pets and Their People. It's more than a tagline- our mission and client experience have allowed us to attract the highest quality, skilled veterinarians, nurse technicians, and support staff. Between the two practices, we offer routine vet care, advanced diagnostics for sick pets, surgical and dental care, and overnight boarding, so a diverse, interesting day at the office is guaranteed!

How you can best fill this position

Along with everything being a veterinary technician entails, we are looking for some key skills that will help you thrive in this new position:

The ability to go over and beyond being a "people" person. A positive, upbeat personality that can understand a client's fears and respond with compassion is vital.

A social media-minded outlook is a huge plus! Someone who can see the potential for a funny or inspiring post, snap a photo, and forward it to the appropriate staff member would be a great asset.

The ability to handle the physically demanding job of lifting and holding animals securely, as well as being resolved that you will be getting your hands (and scrubs) dirty. But rest assured that you'll be rewarded with puppy kisses, tail wags, purrs, and much, much more.

The ability to multi-task with grace and compassion during busy and stressful conditions.

The willingness to work weekends on an alternating schedule with other techs on a four day work week schedule.

Why you should choose the Northeast Animal Hospital team

Along with the competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a generous employee pet discount, you will gain a wealth of knowledge as you work alongside amazing coworkers. Our office locations mean you have great choices for coffee or lunch nearby as St. Pete offers some of the best local restaurants and cafes around. Our unique environment encourages you to have fun at work and to work together with teammates for a unified and safe atmosphere where your strengths will be recognized and rewarded. We look forward to speaking with you soon!
