Responsibilities:

• Conduct nursing assessments for all admitted clients and document as per protocols.
• Monitor clients undergoing detox, including vital signs and assessment tools.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for adverse effects.
• Facilitate consultations and assist in discharge planning.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacology and provide client education on medical issues.
• Lead group sessions and provide in-service training.

Requirements:

• Diploma Degree in Nursing.
• Preferably one-year experience in substance abuse and psychiatric treatment.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and common computer programs - KIPU preferred
