Northeast Family Services is seeking an experienced and professional Lead Intake Coordinator to join our growing NY team!
The Lead Intake Coordinator manages all aspects of the registration and admissions process for Northeast Family Services in NY, including all 5 boroughs and Westchester County. They are responsible for answering incoming calls, gathering referral information, verifying insurance coverage, and scheduling clients’ appointments.
The Lead Intake Coordinator will supervise a team of intake coordinators located in NY.
To be successful in the Lead Intake Coordinator position, you need to be highly organized, detail oriented, and have a working knowledge of payer portals, co-pays, deductibles, and health insurance benefits. Top candidates will also have excellent interpersonal and prior supervisory skills and work well as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes therapists, clinicians, nurse practitioners and peers.

This is on-site position in Bronx, NY, not remote. In-office, day shift hours required.
Bilingual fluency in English / Spanish is required for this role.
Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• At least three years of patient intake and scheduling experience
• At least one year of supervisory experience
• Bilingual in English / Spanish required
• Strong working knowledge of NY state insurance benefits and authorizations
• Proficient computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Experience working with and helping clients with co-occurring disorders
• Must have prior experience with behavioral health field
• Ability to keep client and company confidences
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
• Strong time management and organizational skills

Compensation

• Full Time - Salary $55,000 - $60,000
