The Assistant Supervisor provides administrative and supervisory oversight to the R2R program under the supervision of the R2R Clinical Supervisor. The Assistant Supervisor is well versed in R2R contracted services and acts as a back-up to the Clinical Supervisor. The Assistant Supervisor demonstrates competence and is experienced in working with NH DCYF, DCYF involved families and caregivers, and collateral service providers. The Assistant Supervisor provides direct supervision of assigned staff, ensures compliance with all meeting and paperwork deadlines and manages a reduced caseload as needed.

This is a Full Time, 40-hour per week position. The Assistant Supervisor of R2R position can be based in any of our offices throughout NH.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • At a minimum, provides once weekly supervision to assigned staff
  • Provides regular observation and coaching of assigned staff to promote staff development and competence
  • Assists with onboarding and training of assigned staff
  • Assists in addressing any concerns or needs raised by funder, families, caretakers, and providers and elevates these needs to Clinical Supervisor
  • Assists in documenting and tracking R2R data to be used for reporting out to funders
  • Conducts consistent chart audits to ensure compliance and quality standards are met
  • Carries a caseload as indicated
  • Completes all required documentation and R2R meetings per contract specifications
  • Reports to the Clinical Supervisor any obstacles to service provision
  • Actively participates in the training and development of R2R staff assigned
  • In the absence of the Clinical Supervisor, assumes additional supervisory coverage and support of staff

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with a major in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field with an emphasis in human services
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents identifying barriers and resources to reunification with families
  • At least one year of experience working with NH DCYF and demonstrated knowledge of the needs of children and families in the child welfare system
  • At least one year of supervisory experience
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • Proficient with supervision, service delivery and case management fundamentals
  • Experience in quality management preferred
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office
