Seeking a DentalAssistant to assist the Dentist and Dental Hygienist in theadministration of patient care at the chair side. Listed below is a briefsummary of the requirements. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enableindividuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
Compensation: $17.09 Per Hour plus benefits
Bonus up to $6,000
Essential Job Duties:
Assists Dentist or DentalHygienist in the performance of dental procedures.
·Identifiespatient health care service requirements while being aware of age specificneeds and protocols.
·Directspatient to operatory, obtains and records accurate routine patient vital signs.
·Prepares, processes, and mounts intra-oral and panoramicradiographs.
·Prepares patient for services being rendered byprovider.
·Assists provider with positioning and passing instrumentsand performing suctioning.
·Assistsprovider in examination of patients and gives instructions as directed byprovider
·Fillsout all appropriate and necessary paperwork as well as ensures patient andprovider signatures on paperwork.
·Completesnecessary documentation in patients EDR and EHR chart.
·Maintainsupdated treatment plans for patients.
·Takespreliminary impressions and/or prepares models.
·Cleans,stocks, and prepares operatory stations between patients.
·Performs sterilization of instruments and equipment in atimely manner.
·Complies with infection control policies and protocols.
·Accessesnecessary charts for documentation and messages.
·Actsas a liaison between providers and other care givers.
·Processesreferrals and sends Prior authorization tasks.
·Answersphone calls, tasks, and returns any necessary phone calls in a timely manner
·Assists with inventory control and laboratory servicetracking.
·Callsand schedules patients for follow up services from laboratories.
·Answersphone calls and takes messages. Returns patient calls as directed by provider.
·Ensuresoperation of dental equipment by reporting equipment malfunctions andevaluating new equipment and techniques.
·Travelsto any location as needed. For float positions, mileage may not be paid.
·Worksextended hours as needed.
·Workingassigned weekends is required.
Required Education,Experience, Certificates & Licenses:
High School Diploma orGED, Fingerprint card required, X-Raynt required, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required,Fingerprint card required, Anycombination of education and/or experience that provides the necessary skilland sensitivity, Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance may be required ifrequesting mileage reimbursement. For Float positions, mileage may not bepaid.
