General Duties:
- Schedules patient appointments, answers general questions, obtains authorizations and pre-authorizations for patient care services.
- Check in patients by collecting necessary personal and insurance information.
- Schedules appointments and maintains master calendar for providers.
- Completes required paperwork or documentation.
- Faxing and scanning required paperwork
- Processes insurance forms and maintains logs.
- Coordinates submission of appropriate charges to insurance billing department.
- Conduct billing audits
- Files charts according to established procedures.
- Reads and prioritizes incoming mail.
- Oversees the day-to-day administration of department.
- Establishes and maintains files and records.
- Oversees equipment and office supply inventories and initiates or approves service requests and supply orders.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Minimal one year of related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Typing Speed 45wpm
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Ability to multitask
