JOB PURPOSE

This position supports the physician practice clinically and administratively. Administrative duties include entering charges, reviewing claims for submission, entering demographics, obtaining missing patient or insurance information and follow up on delayed/denied claims. Medical Assistant responsibilities include providing assistance to the patient by checking them in and out of their appointment, assisting the patients to and from the exam rooms, taking vital signs, inputting information into the EMR and responding to patient related telephone calls. This position may require travel between the practice's four locations, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least one year experience working in a medical practice

Excellent customer service skills

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Strong computer skills

Energetic and positive attitude

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-high school training or education preferred.
