Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Summary

The Accounts Receivable Coordinator is responsible for managing and collecting payments from customers, billing and creating invoices. This includes tracking invoices, issuing credit memos and refunds, reconciling accounts with the general ledger, contacting delinquent customers to collect overdue payments, creating reports on account status or aging accounts, maintaining accurate records of collections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Bill customers and create invoices
• Process and track customer invoices, payments, and credit memos
• Reconcile accounts receivable with the general ledger on a regular basis
• Investigate and resolve customer billing discrepancies
• Contact delinquent customers to collect overdue payments
• Prepare and generate reports on account status or aging accounts
• Maintain accurate records of collections

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred
• 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a Sage 100 environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with Sage 100 is preferred

• Experience with other accounting software programs, such as QuickBooks Desktop
• Experience with credit card processing
• Experience with collections and dispute resolution
• Experience with data entry and reporting
