SUMMARY: 

NET/NCC is seeking a Director of Youth Engagement and Advocacy who will support as a Mentor in working with youth justice initiatives participants ages 13 to 18. Reporting to executive level leadership, this Director will develop and oversee a NET/NCC Youth Committee, mentorship programming activities—including group workshops and individual mentorship sessions. These activities will take place virtually, on-site, and in the community. This leader will research innovative and best practices as it relates to youth engagement and advocacy programs and make recommendation and/or initiate planning activities once programming ideas are approved. This leader will conduct trauma/EBP circles and interventions as well as post-crisis reviews with youth participating in select NET/NCC programs.

Qualifications


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited college or university with a major in the social work, criminal justice, human services, or related field. 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Child Welfare, Social Services, Juvenile Justice with at least 3 years supervisory experience. 

  • Independent Project Management Experience is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge related to child welfare, social services, and case-management as it relates to servicing delinquent/dependent children and youth. 

  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours when needed based on program needs, including overnights and weekends. 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at the intermediate to advanced level. 

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills to effectively problem-solve.
