Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor will increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by assisting the Branch Manager with overseeing warehouse operations in a safe, secure, efficient and cost-effective manner that complies with company policy and OSHA, DOT and other applicable regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with supervisors to cover all personnel needs daily.
• Ensure and assist in the process that all orders are being expedited in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in the training/hiring and termination process of personnel.
• Supervise that all DOT paperwork is completed daily and accurately.
• Review zone and product space requirements and make appropriate recommendations.
• Monitor safety and procedures within the warehouse setting.
• Take on the responsibilities for inventory accuracy.
• Propose personnel and equipment needs.
• Facilitate maintenance of lifting and cleaning equipment
• Operate forklift in compliance with OSHA guidelines
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Other duties or responsibilities assigned by the warehouse manager

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years warehouse experience.
• Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience.
• Strong customer service and/or problem-solving skills.
• Available to work weekday or weekend overtime as required.
• Strong judgement and decision-making ability
• Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Team player who works productively with a wide range of people
• Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
• Strong project management and multi-tasking skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of company products
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, inventory and warehouse management software
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to employees daily.
• Participate in performance evaluations.
• Implement and maintain safety initiatives

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand for up to 8 hours
• Ability to work at heights of 28 feet
• Frequent stooping, squatting, stretching, bending and lifting are required to reach inventory items.
• The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
