Northern Baltimore Surgery Center has an immediate opening for a part-time Surgical Tech. This position will provide individualized and specialized nursing care to patients in a clinic procedure setting in accordance with physician orders during the perioperative time.

Job Duties include:

• Checks supplies and equipment required for the surgical procedure
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions required for the procedure
• Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants
• Assists Perioperative Team with draping the patient
• Hands instruments to surgeon and takes instruments away
• Removes patient drapes and organizes instrument trays after case
• Transports instrument trays to Sterile Processing for cleaning
• Participates in room turnover and prepares room for the next case
• Performs effectively in emergent situations
• Manages time effectively
• Loads and unloads van with supplies, equipment, and instruments into van for transport

Requirements:

• Certified Surgical Technician or 3 years' experience in sterile surgical procedures
• BLS/CPR Certification
• Ophthalmology experience strongly preferred
