SECURITY MONITOR

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of a high school diploma
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and the public
• Experience in security / surveillance preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary
• Ability to stand / walk for up to 8 hours per day

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promotes and provides a safe and secure learning environment for all students and staff
• Exhibits a sense of caring for the welfare of students, staff and guests
• Works collaboratively with staff in assuming duties to secure a safe environment
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of rules governing student behavior as outlined in the student handbook
• Cover areas of supervision before, during and after school as assigned including but not limited to: hallways, bathrooms, cafeteria, parking lots, campus, bus duty
• Assists with arrival and departure traffic
• Escorts students as needed
• Performs all other duties requested by supervisor

SCHEDULE:
10 Month position
