Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the precious metals market, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will play a key role in facilitating transactions and building long-term relationships with clients. Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess the value of gold and silver items brought in by customers for sale.

• Excellent Communication Skills

• Provide accurate and competitive pricing based on market trends and item characteristics.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure workspace for handling precious metal items.

• Stay informed about current market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory requirements related to precious metals.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through professionalism, trustworthiness, and excellent communication skills.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the buying and selling process.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the precious metals industry is preferred but not necessary.

• Strong knowledge of gold and silver products, including bullion, coins, and jewelry, or a strong desire to learn.

• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in evaluating and appraising precious metal items.

• Proficiency in basic math skills and the ability to perform calculations related to pricing and transactions.

• Integrity and honesty in all dealings with customers and colleagues.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.

• Knowledge of rare coins is a plus, however Northern Nevada Coin is committed to ongoing on the job training in everything we buy and sell.

• Computer Literate is a must.

• Knowledge of MAC IOS systems are a plus

• High School Degree

• Valid US Driver’s License

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• 40 hour work week (may be subject to overtime)

• Day shift

• Monday to Saturday (Saturday availability is a must)
