What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Livestock Judgin Coach- Tonkawa-Part-Time position at Northern Oklahoma College?
SUMMARY: Northern Oklahoma College Division of Agriculture & Biological Science is seeking an Assistant Livestock Judging Coach on the Tonkawa campus. This part-time position will be a 10- month, 30 hour per week appointment that includes a benefit package. Considerable time and travel requirements can be expected in this position, with availability on some evenings and weekends. Minimum requirements are an associate’s degree in agriculture and collegiate livestock judging experience. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Applications will be considered until the position is filled.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Assist the Head Livestock Judging Coach with team practices and contests.
- Assist the Head Livestock Judging Coach with NOC Livestock Judging Program activities such as the NOC Livestock Judging Contest, NOC Livestock Judging Camp, etc.
- Travel to select Livestock Judging Contests.
- Recruiting of NOC students and Livestock Judging Team Members, including tours of campus and agricultural facilities and booth representation at various recruiting events.
Areas of Knowledge and Expertise Include:
- A thorough understanding of the livestock industry and format of livestock judging contests.
- Prior livestock judging experience at the collegiate level.
- Must be an effective recruiter and should be able to develop good working relationships with potential students, livestock producers, and supporters of the program.
- Mastery of computer skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
