**Laborer**
February 14, 2022 **ReSource Waste Services of Lewiston is looking for laborers for our Lewiston, ME location.**
This position will performs manual material separation at the processing picking stations; Site and processing building cleanup; Process residue management and cleanup. Working at a conveyor belt re-sorting machine/excavator pre-sorted material. Incumbent removes recyclable items such as rigid plastic, cardboard, and light metals such as aluminum, copper, wires. Also removes non-recyclable items and bulky items such as carpets, tarps, rocks and pieces of concrete, plastic bags, and styrofoam insulation. Will report issues, concerns or question to the line leader and/or shift supervisor.
**Responsibilities:**
Manual material separation
Remove and sorting material to be processed for recycling or disposal.
Maintaining flow of sorting lines.
Handle and storage of incoming material to proper areas
Participate in residue management and cleanup
May do daily routine equipment maintenance
Maintain a safe work environment through identification and correction of hazards, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the work area.
Perform assigned duties in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
Perform all other related duties as required.
**Qualifications:**
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One to three years of equivalent experience preferred
Work independently with minimal supervision and as part of the team
Able to lift up to 50lb.
Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
Experience working in a fast pace environment; construction or recycling background preferred
