**JOB SUMMARY:** To provide a physical and visual deterrent, protection of Distribution Center and Support Center employees, assets and building. While providing leadership for the Enterprise Protection strategies as directed.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Maintain a high profile at Distribution Center and Corporate Offices.

* Contribute to the Northgate Markets customer service strategies.

* Maintain and wear the company uniform as directed.

* Report directly to the Distribution Center Asset Protection Security Manager, who will oversee day to day activities.

* Adhere to all local and state laws and regulations.

* Must be willing and able to affect apprehensions and detainments of suspects within company guidelines.

* Observe and report incidents of internal and external theft and policy violations as directed to Distribution Center Asset Protection Security Manager.

* Assist with maintaining a safe work environment.

* Assist the Asset Protection Security Manager in maintaining the physical security standards.

* Perform any other work-related duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS:**

**Education/Experience**

* High school graduate.

* Security experience preferred.

**Certificates/Licenses/Registrations**

* Current California guard card.

**Skills Required**

* Bilingual: Spanish and English; write reports in quality English.

* Effectively communicate with customers and staff.

* Be able to reason about various moral situations.

* Must have the ability to work flexible schedules including overnight and split shifts.

* Be able to pass a standard drug test and qualify as being drug free under the legal and medical guidelines permitted by the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988.
