Northland Area FCU is Hiring a Loan officer Near Alpena, MI

Northland Area Federal Credit Union, seeks an enthusiastic Loan Officer with exceptional customer service skills and the ability to cross-sell credit union products and services.

This individual will work closely with members to understand their financial objectives and recommend appropriate loan products and services.

This position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with members while helping them navigate their financial journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality, prompt and courteous service to members and team members
  • Market and promote the credit union products and services; actively cross sell including deposit relationship.
  • Conduct loan interviews and closings, assuring compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures
  • Contact realtors, member and / or title company to coordinate closing dateAssist with the processing of loans and modifications
  • Enter data input on processing and servicing software
  • Assist with the analysis of member financials and debt structure
  • Prepare real estate secured loans assigned from originators to be submit to the processors. Monitor needs list assigned by processors and assist originators with collection of items.
  • Investigate problem accounts and resolve
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance and NAFCU policy and procedure requirements by attending seminars and training sessions
  • Make site visits to real estate properties as needed
  • Document review of closing documents for Mortgage / Business loans.
  • Disburse funds after closing and balance general ledgers.
  • Submit closed loans to Servicing / Credit for audit and assist with post-closing follow ups.
