Position Overview: We are partnering with a leading construction company specializing in technology services. As they expand their operations and explore new avenues for growth, they are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for the company, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation and support as required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the finance department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
