The MPP Payoff Specialist will perform a broad range of warehouse lending operational support duties. These duties include investor wire and purchase advice receipt and reconciliation, booking loan settlements in the Mortgage Purchase Program (MPP) dashboard, making accounting entries, and correspondence with clients.

Responsibilities:• Supporting wire transfer activity by receiving incoming wires and purchase advices, reconciling large payoff entries for combined wires, recording the appropriate entries associated with the wire activity, and processing daily payoff transactions.
• Creating and editing spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
• Completing basic accounting entries and daily account reconciliations, and working cross-departmentally with the Accounting department to resolve any discrepancies.
• Providing exceptional customer service by maintaining professional correspondence with clients regarding purchase advice requests, operating account deposits, and other general inquiries utilizing Microsoft Outlook.
• Provide backup to MPP Collateral Specialist, as needed.
• Basic knowledge of conforming, FHA, Rural Development, and VA loan programs and closing documentation.
• Meet established standards and guidelines with regard to compliance, job knowledge, quality, attendance, efficiency, initiative, customer service, and overall performance.
• Maintain customer confidence by providing ongoing quality service and keeping all files and information confidential.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with internal policies and procedures. Understand and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations affecting our institution.

Requirements:• Associates Degree in accounting, finance or business preferred.
• At least one year of mortgage experience preferred.
• At least two years of customer service experience required.
• Proficient computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Professional demeanor and interaction with all customers (internal and external).
• Effective interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment as well as independently.
• Ability to pay attention to detail while handling a high volume of work with multiple interruptions.
• Effective project management skills and the ability to proactively problem-solve.
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
