Position SummaryThe Loan Shipper is responsible for delivering completed and accurate loan documents to the designated investor for loan purchase.
The following duties are intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities and ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional duties.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Review final documents for completeness and accuracy. Notify appropriate department or personnel of any file deficiencies and respond to missing documentation requests.
  • Ensure all final documents are properly scanned, stored into the company’s database and filed.
  • Compile, organize, ship and track investor requested loan documents.
  • Monitor the status of loans submitted to investors for purchase in order to facilitate the required funding timeframe.
  • Maintain communication with investors from funding through post purchase.
  • Follow applicable state & federal laws and regulations.
  • Comply with company, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and industry standard rules and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
  • One year of office experience in the mortgage industry.
  • Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience.
Knowledge & Communication Skills
  • Broad understanding of residential mortgage loans, and familiarity with mortgage loan products.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to comprehend, analyze, and effectively communicate business memorandums, technical procedures, and government regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards. Acute attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Works with integrity and ethically.
Analytical & Decision Making Skills
  • Self-directed, able to work independently without supervision, and be able to prioritize multiple projects to meet firm deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Support organization’s goals and values. Follow instructions, and respond to management direction.
Computer/Software/Other Equipment Skills
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as PC, printer, fax/copier, and telephone.
Working Conditions
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Work is performed in a professional office environment.
