Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Review final documents for completeness and accuracy. Notify appropriate department or personnel of any file deficiencies and respond to missing documentation requests.
- Ensure all final documents are properly scanned, stored into the company’s database and filed.
- Compile, organize, ship and track investor requested loan documents.
- Monitor the status of loans submitted to investors for purchase in order to facilitate the required funding timeframe.
- Maintain communication with investors from funding through post purchase.
- Follow applicable state & federal laws and regulations.
- Comply with company, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and industry standard rules and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of office experience in the mortgage industry.
- Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience.
- Broad understanding of residential mortgage loans, and familiarity with mortgage loan products.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to comprehend, analyze, and effectively communicate business memorandums, technical procedures, and government regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards. Acute attention to detail.
- Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Works with integrity and ethically.
- Self-directed, able to work independently without supervision, and be able to prioritize multiple projects to meet firm deadlines.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Support organization’s goals and values. Follow instructions, and respond to management direction.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as PC, printer, fax/copier, and telephone.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Work is performed in a professional office environment.
