Front desk position in a friendly, patient-oriented private practice . Duties include scheduling appointments, knowledge of dental insurance and discussing treatment plans. Candidate must possess an understanding of dental procedures and office functions. This is a full-time position working in one of Richmond’s great neighborhood districts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of documentation, including but not limited to: accurate and current medical history, medical alerts, and signed Consent forms.
• Schedule appointments and maintain a system of contact for follow-up/re-care
• Effectively present to patient in professional and confidential manner dental treatment plan and proposed plan for continuing treatment.
• Explain insurance benefits and financial options to patients in nonclinical terms.
• Understand and agree to maintain production standards of practice.
• Maintain positive, friendly and professional working environment at all times
• Attend and participate in office meetings.
• Understand and abide by HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-years of experience working with dental insurance plans and communicating patient treatment plans
• Dependable, organized and able to multi task
• Working knowledge of computers and dental software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Friendly and compassionate customer service skills
• Ability to work in high volume environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.20 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
