Take your career to new heights with NorthStar Anesthesia as the Medical Director of Anesthesia at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in LaPlata, MD, just one hour away from the DMC Metro area. This leader will receive a strong annual compensation up to $475,000 (working days only, no overnight call) plus a $25,000 Medical Stipend, inclusive benefits, and a $100k sign-on bonus with 10 weeks PTO. Case Mix: 

There is a diverse case mix including general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, gynecology, gastroenterology, urology and occasional pediatric cases.

• Ability to maintain a strong understanding of the business of anesthesia.

One of the fastest growing counties in Maryland, Charles County is a charming community steeped in culture and history — and University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center (UM CRMC) is in the heart of it all. UM CRMC has provided excellence in acute health care and preventive services in Charles County and the surrounding communities for more than 80 years.

UM CRMC is a 104- bed medical center, with 425 medical staff delivering compassionate, award-winning care. In 2017, to keep pace with the rapid changes in medical care and technology, UM CRMC opened the new Medical Pavilion in North La Plata, and continues to expand services.

About the location:

The Town of La Plata is located in Southern Maryland about 30 miles southeast of Washington, DC, 60 miles south of Baltimore, 45 miles southwest of Annapolis, and 80 miles north of Richmond, Va. It serves as the county seat for the Charles County Government and was originally founded in the 1870's as the Pennsylvania Railroad was granted a right of way to build its tracks and station. The Town of La Plata was incorporated on April 4, 1888. Since La Plata's inception, it has grown into a beautiful small town of 8,753 residents (2010 Census) with hundreds of small businesses that serve Southern Maryland.
