NorthStone Country Club is Hiring a Food & Beverage/Event Manager Near Huntersville, NC

Description

The Food & Beverage/Event Manager is responsible for the club’s dining services, food and beverage production, and day-to-day catering and banquet services throughout the club. Candidates must be energetic, detail oriented, professional, outgoing, and a proven leader.

Salary

Will offer an attractive and competitive compensation package that commensurate with experience. In additional to a base salary, benefits include coordinating fees, a performance bonus, phone plan, meal plan, medical, dental, vacation, sick time, and 401k.

Job Summary (Essential Functions)

The Food & Beverage/ Event Manager will work directly with the Event Sales Director, Executive Chef and General Manager to meet and exceed member and guest expectations. The Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day food and beverage operations, including member dining, executing special events, weddings, and member activities for the Food & Beverage department. Because this position is highly visible and includes daily interaction with Club members and guests, requiring exceptional customer relations skills is essential. Candidates must have a track record promoting an atmosphere of teamwork as this position will also be responsible for scheduling, training, and developing service staff and banquet service staff. 

Nights, weekends, and holiday work are part of our manager’s regular schedule.

Job Tasks/Duties

  • Must be able to orchestrate the day-to-day of food and beverage operation.
  • Ability to plan and execute weddings, member events, and private events.
  • Responsible for answering calls, responding to voicemails and emails, making reservations, data entry, and creating BEO’s for events.
  • Acts as Manager on Duty in the dining room when there are no private events taking place.
  • Manage and supervises FOH and BOH staff.
  • Ordering and receiving product and inventory management (cost and portion control). 
  • Coordinate and successfully organize a wide variety of events including weddings, fundraisers, conferences, meetings, luncheons, private parties, and golf outings.
  • Propose effective layout for events and coordinate all staff management, event logistics, and internal/external communication functions throughout the event life cycle.
  • Clearly describe, assign, and delegate responsibility to personnel for the operation. 
  • Provide associate hiring, training, scheduling, and development. 
  • Continuously evaluate personnel performance and encourage improvement.
  • Use hands-on approach to management and possess leadership skills needed to achieve staff goals and objectives.
  • Effectively communicate and inspire employees to achieve Club and personal goals and objectives.

Core Competencies

  • Strong computer skills and experience with software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Clubessential Mobile POS System, Reserve Cloud and Social Tables is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills are a must.
  • Team oriented with a creative eye and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example.
  • Strong technical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management and follow-through/follow-up skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and skills.
  • Effective budgetary, projections and cost control skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a proven track record of successful food and beverage operational results.

Education and/or Experience

  • At least 2 years of F&B Management experience.
  • A four-year college degree in Hospitality is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
  • Experience in catering, event planning, and/or banquet operations is required.
  • Experience in Private Club food and beverage management preferred.
  • Experience with inventory and cost management preferred.

About the Club

NorthStone Country Club is a privately owned club with approximately 1200 members. NorthStone offers an 18-hole golf course designed by PB Dye. The dining facilities include a newly renovated ballroom that can seat up to 220 people, main dining room which can accommodate 90 people, and a bar that seats up to 50 with multiple patio areas. NorthStone club also has four swimming pools, water slide, a 3000 square foot fitness center, and tennis complex.
