Job Description

Plans and delivers professional infusion therapy to patients.

Job Responsibility

* Provides intravenous infusions, transfusions, or venipuncture care to patients under the direction of a physician.

* Places, monitors, and maintains IVs or catheters for the purposes of delivering antibiotics, parenteral nutrition, or other medications or therapeutic treatments as directed.

* Documents patient condition, vital statistics, diagnosis, and prescribed treatments.

Job Qualification

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.

* Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

* 5-7 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.
