Northwest ADHD Treatment Center is Hiring a Medical Billing Specialist - Behavioral Health Near Portland, OR

Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist

Job Status: Full-time, non-exempt

Job Location: This job is physically located in Portland, OR. The candidate we hire will be working in-office Monday through Friday, standard daytime hours

Summary:
We are a busy and growing behavioral health clinic seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently submitting claims to insurance companies and other payers, posting payments, and resolving any billing discrepancies. The Medical Billing Specialist will also be responsible for following up on unpaid claims and working to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for services rendered.

Responsibilities:
- Review and accurately submit claims to insurance companies and other payers
- Verify patient insurance coverage
- Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denied claims
- Follow up on unpaid claims as necessary
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and providers regarding billing inquiries
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 years of experience working in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management
- Proficiency with medical billing software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of medical billing guidelines and reimbursement processes
- Knowledge of HIPAA as it relates to medical billing
