The Cox Welcome Desk Attendant serves prospective and current students and guests in Burns Hall, helps students find their classes, informs themselves on NWACC Events, and assists with any special projects. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institutional policy.
Job Description
  • Provides superior customer service for prospective and current students and guests.
  • Able to provide direction to all NWACC buildings and locations.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of Student Services resources.
  • Participates in educational/professional opportunities provided for staff to facilitate continued learning of best practices.
  • Performs other duties related to the position as required or directed.
Rate of Pay $14.00 per hour
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of record keeping procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
  • Knowledge of basic grammar.
  • Knowledge of computers and software applications.
  • Ability to conduct research and compile data into report form.
  • Ability to establish and maintain filing systems.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Ability to analyze documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one years of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed.
Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.
