Description
Northwest Center is looking for a Mailroom Clerk to join our team!
In this role, you will work independently, providing clerical assistance, sorting, and delivering mail for the Federal Government. This is an entry-level position, and we are eager to train and invest in your future with Northwest Center.

Location: Downtown Seattle, WA
Schedule: Part-Time 20 hours, flexible start time
Wage Range: $19.97 - $20.34
Additional Compensation: $4.57 Per Hour Health and Welfare

Northwest Center is an AbilityOne government contractor. Essential Duties:
  • Processing, distributing, and sorting U.S. mail within the mailroom.
  • Logging in and out certified, registered, and Federal Express mail.
  • Handling the pick-up of outgoing mail and in-house mail.
  • Responsible for routing mail to customers correctly and opening mail when necessary.
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen or non-citizen that has official legal status in the U.S. and has continuously resided in the United States for the last five years.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Applicants must be able to work independently and self motivate.
  • Lifting 25lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • The ability to utilize a step stool while carrying packages or mail.
  • Picking mail up from the ground and picking it up above your head.
