Description

Northwest Classical Academy seeks a part-time Communications Assistant. This position would report to the Community Engagement Director on Northwest Classical Academy’s Kennesaw campus. This position requires flexibility to be able to attend occasional school-related events that may be outside of normal business hours. The estimated hour commitment for this role is 20 hours per week. This role will require handling weekly deadlines while simultaneously attending to longer-range projects. The ideal candidate is a flexible self-starter who can combine ideas and expectations from different departments into a cohesive communication strategy.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Produce written and visual content for campus-based communications, including but not limited to the weekly newsletter (Legenda) and the monthly Chronicle
• Manage NCA social media channels (Facebook and Instagram)
• Assist in photographing events throughout the year to include curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities that highlight NCA's mission
• Provide training and support to faculty and staff to improve consistent campus-wide communications via ParentSquare
• Work closely with the Community Engagement Director and assist with various ad hoc responsibilities throughout the year 

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
• Three to four years of related work experience
• Working knowledge of photography and camera equipment is preferred
• Experience running social media accounts for a nonprofit or school is preferred
• Availability to work in person and remotely at supervisor's discretion
