Processing Pharmacy Technician Job Responsibilities at Northwest Compounders

Primary Functions (85% of the job): answering phones, processing refills and new prescriptions in PK software, assisting walk in customers at the front desk with all will call transactions, taking voicemails off our inbox, triaging calls to pharmacists in the processing room, faxing prescribers refill requests and assisting processing pharmacists with small projects.

Position rotates with other processing technician(s) between the processing area and the front desk. All duties described above can be performed at both stations, with the exception of assisting walk-in customers, which only takes place at the front desk.

Secondary functions (15% or less) of the Pharmacy Technician role at Northwest Compounders include the following: sorting hard copies, cutting bubble wrap for shipping purposes, shredding PHI, other organizational tasks as needed

Tasks or functions that require physical effort include lifting and moving containers of up to 20lbs in weight.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
