Qualifications: ? High school diploma ? Demonstrate the ability to work with both adults and children personably and effectively ? Knowledge of restorative justice and practices ? Empathetic and student-centered ? Flexible and able to adjust on the fly to changing needs ? Training and experience with CPI and behavioral crisis management (training provided) ? CPR, First Aid, and AED (trainings provided) Required Skills: ? Professional written and verbal communication skills with school personnel and students ? Ability to interact with a variety of audiences and individuals ? Detail-oriented and self-directed ? Ability to remain calm and patient with staff and students in high-stress events ? Comfortable with students ages ranging from Preschool to 12th grade Duties: 1. Provide supervision for students during unstructured time; recess, lunch, hallways, etc 2. Follow a support schedule designed to assist classroom teachers 3. Participate in required training such as CPR, First Aid, CPI, and assigned modules in Safe Schools 4. Communicate efficiently and effectively with teachers and administrative staff 5. Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner accurately 6. Maintain a high standard of ethical behavior and confidentiality 7. Provide support at special events such as assemblies and field trips as requested 8. Work in small groups with assigned students on work following the assigned learning plan 9. Assist with a special ed student as a one-to-one support 10. Fulfill requirements to assist preschool-age students; TB test, fingerprinting, and annual online training 11. Offer clerical support to office staff as requested 12. Participate in beginning and end-of-year preparation 13. Some nights and weekend responsibilities as necessary 14.
