Description
MEDICAL ASSISTANT
NWFC is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant for our clinic in Rogers.
At Northwest Family Clinics we take pride in our independent business model. The owners of our clinics are physicians. We work side by side with our dedicated staff to provide exceptional care to patients without the burden of heavy administrative overhead. We are independently owned and patient-focused with three clinic locations and over 100 healthcare providers, support staff and administrative professionals working as a team to deliver outstanding health care.
This role reports to the Clinical Nursing Manager.

• Job Performs preliminary patient examination such as taking vital, verifying medications and allergies and documenting them. Review preventative service needs and educates the patient about the visit.
• Performs various telephone duties such as informing patients of test results, and relaying information and messages, so that communication between clinic and patient is clear and concise.
• Documents all pertinent information in the patient's chart so that the history is up to date and accurate.
• Determines the appropriate steps to take in an emergency situation, whether it be on the phone or in the clinic.
• Assists providers with procedures as required by the provider.
• Administers immunizations and medication by provider orders.
• Cleans and stocks patient examination rooms, sterilizes and maintains equipment and supplies so they are available as needed. Ensures that spoiled linens, containers, and potential infectious waste are appropriately disposed of according to the infectious control guidelines.
• Maintains confidentiality by keeping all patient and medical information seen and heard in the strictest confidence.
• May perform basic essential in-house lab work.

Hours and Days:
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5PM-8PM.
Qualifications

• Have knowledge of electronic medical records.
• Excellent teamwork abilities
• Excellent communication/listening/customer service skills
• Willing to work in a fast paced environment while handling multiple tasks with accuracy.
• Computer knowledge to use scheduling software and Microsoft Suite
• Ability to travel between three sites locally.
