This position is responsible for processing behavioral health claims and maintaining behavioral health credential records.
What you’ll do:
· Review and submit insurance or reimbursement claims for substance use providers and program staff
· Correct failed/denied claims and resubmit.
· Coordinate with the Behavioral Health Administrator and process reimbursement payments and provide reports for the accounting department.
· Verify Medicaid eligibility for clients
· Submit and maintain authorizations for services.
· Act as an administrator on various claims portals such as CIM, OneHealthPort, Office Ally, and MOTs.
· Other duties as required.
General Responsibilities
· Assist with maintaining provider credential records.
· Assist new providers with NPI, Medicaid, and CCO registrations, as needed.
· Provide updated provider rosters to CCOs as required.
· Act as backup for mental health billing claims.
· Track the monthly Verify/Comply lists: add or delete staff from roster, correct register
· Follow the protocol, policies, and procedures of the department and agency.
· Maintain accurate documentation on a consistent basis.
· Complete and submit reports as needed.
· Maintain confidentiality of client information and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
· Provide culturally responsive services that are equitable, respectful, and relevant to people from a wide variety of cultures, backgrounds and orientations.
· Attend meetings and trainings as required.
· Regularly participate in professional development.
Who you are:
· High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 – 2 years of office/administrative experience.
· Experience with an Electronic Health Records system is preferred.
