Athletics Graduate Assistant

Northwest Nazarene University Northwest Nazarene University is accepting applications for the position of an Athletics Graduate Assistant. This is a 12-month, part-time position that reports to the Athletic Administration Department.

Essential Functions

• Coordinate with the Athletic operations team on game-day atmosphere, including in-game promotions and increasing game attendance by students, faculty and staff, alumni, and the community.
• Provide support for various special events such as the annual golf tournament, student-athlete awards ceremony, and Hall of Fame and Homecoming events.
• Assist with the preparation, reporting and monitoring of NCAA and GNAC requirements.
• Assist in the execution of events, games, rentals, practices and sponsorships.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Athletic Administration Team.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• High motivation and commitment to the University, organizational skills, the ability to self-start, be calm under pressure, meet deadlines, work without direct supervision, multi-task, problem solve, and relate to a variety of personalities under diverse circumstances
• The University requires that all staff members be Christians and must be comfortable with and in agreement with the mission and lifestyle values of NNU and be willing to help advance the spiritual goals of the University
• Admission as a full-time student in any graduate program at NNU, effective Fall 2024

Compensation

Full tuition for graduate-level classes and $3,000 stipend. A two-year commitment is preferred, renewed after one year based on satisfactory academic and work-related performance.
