Northwest Partners is Hiring a Director of Information Technology Near Tampa, FL

Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the healthcare industry to hire an experienced full-time Senior Director of IT. This role is responsible for providing technology vision, leadership, and execution in the development and implementation of the enterprise Information Technology (IT) program. The position includes leading the planning and implementation of IT infrastructure, security, and service delivery for a growing value-based care organization. The Sr. Director of IT will manage all IT operations, systems, projects, and services, oversee the IT infrastructure, service delivery team, security program, and ensure system performance and availability. Additionally, the role involves working with the healthcare analytics team in monitoring and developing data warehouse capabilities. What YOU will do:

  • Establish an infrastructure program strategy and roadmap, addressing the scale and growth needs of the business.
  • Oversee the strategy and optimization of cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Establish and maintain SLAs for the team and partners.
  • Monitor enterprise systems for performance, reliability, capacity, and execute appropriate changes as needed.
  • Attribute enterprise cloud services to appropriate departments and user communities.
  • Maintain processes responsive to user-reported issues while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee infrastructure, security, and service delivery, including service desk teams, providing leadership and guidance to align with the growing enterprise needs.
  • Ensure IT data security, risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes are aligned with best practices.
  • Lead strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities (vendors, partners, etc.).
  • Govern system changes utilizing change management methodologies or frameworks.
  • Translate complex IT concepts for various audiences and influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and approaches.
  • Identify opportunities, conduct analyses, needs assessments, cost/benefit assessments, and broker other IT services.
  • Develop a thriving team through monitoring, mentoring, directing, coaching, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Maintain knowledge of current/emerging technologies/products related to architectural solutions.
  • Provide annual budget analysis for existing IT expenditures and predict IT funding needs for the next fiscal year.
  • Ensure policies are drafted, supported by management, implemented through training and on-site procedures, and updated as required (minimum annually).
  • Drive HIPAA law compliance and IT security doctrines and best practices, maintaining enterprise HITRUST certification.
  • Partner with leaders to determine funding, budget requirements, timing, and resources for projects.
  • Uphold Enterprise policy guidelines and recommend new/improved guidelines.
  • Partner with project teams and interact with customers to find solutions for projects and operational issues.
  • Review progress and evaluate results of all IT patches, upgrades, and changes.
  • Plan and assign personnel for IT projects or tasks.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the CTO.

What YOU will bring us:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance/Cyber, Information System Management, or a similar field of IT/Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience, coupled with multiple IT and Health industry certifications.
  • Preferred but not required: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance/Cyber, Information System Management, or a similar field of IT/Engineering.
  • Knowledge of VPNs, VLANs, Microsoft and Linux OS’s, Microsoft Active Directory and Domain Controllers, SQL and Oracle databases.
  • Desired knowledge of specialized healthcare software/applications.
