RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST - SURGICAL IMAGING

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a Surgical Radiologic Technologist to join our team! 

This position is full-time!

The Surgical Radiologic Technologist functions as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, serves as a medical imaging professional who provides clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The Surgical Radiologic Technologist’s activities are performed consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable professional standards.

The Surgical Radiologic Technologist’s essential functions are categorized as:

  • Primary Responsibilities (core competencies and/or skills that typify the work of a Radiologic Technologist); and
  • Other Responsibilities (optional functions that may also be required of the Radiologic Technologist).

Qualifications and Preferred Experience: 

  • Extensive Radiologic Technology education, training, and experience in the specialty area(s) to be performed.
  • Extensive clinical experience in providing Radiologic Technology services and demonstrated ability to mentor and support staff technologists.
  • Demonstrated competence in the specialty area(s) to be performed, including X-ray certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning (e.g., continuing medical education in the specialty area(s) performed, higher education, research, staff training, etc.).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs for documentation activities and report generation.
  • Must be able to achieve Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of employment.
