We are hiring an experienced DSP for our Weekend Swing Shift position. You must have at least 8 -12 months recent DSP experience ( will also consider active community caregiving experience). Ready to earn a great bonus and looking for a set schedule you can count on? We currently have one opening for a Weekend Swing Shift Direct Support Professional to join our team. You will be working a 1pm-11pm shift Friday through Monday at a variety of homes located throughout Vancouver. Guaranteed 40 hours/week, $20.95/hour. NWLS provides supportive care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live in their own home.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 Years or older
• Must be able to provide proof of Covid vaccination record
• Must have at least 8 months recent DSP or caregiving experience (preferably as a DSP)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Be Able to Pass a Washington State Criminal Background Check
• Have the Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have good written and verbal communication skills
• Have intermediate computer skill

• Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with individuals personal care - personal hygiene and grooming
• Daily tasks include light housekeeping, laundry, and keeping the home comfortable and safe
• Plan meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals
• Accompany individuals to scheduled medical appointments
• Accompany individuals on fun community activities~movies, swimming, trips to the beach or zoo, shopping at the mall, etc.
• Assist individuals with self-administration of medications
• Document services provided using computer (familiarity with Therap helpful)
