Responsibilities

Evaluates, treats and progresses patients with communicative disorders and swallowing disorders using a wide variety of Speech/Language diagnostic and therapy techniques as prescribed by the attending physician.

Qualifications

Required:

• Master' Degree from an approved curriculum in Speech-Language Pathology, or its equivalent.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SP) from the American Speech and Hearing Associations (ASHA) or be eligibile for a Clinical Fellowship year (CFY-SP) in the state involved.
• State licensure in Speech Pathology or must have applied for licensure in the state of Indiana.
• Require an affiliation with the American Speech and Hearing Association.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Must demonstrate professional attitude and appearance.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and adopt a physician written or oral directions and to suggest treatment programs and outline expected benefits regarding speech therapy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Productivity measure at 65% for outpatient and inpatient caseload.
• Must be able to maintain patient information as confidential material.
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials and equipment in use is Speech Therapy.
