**Bakery Machine Operator**

**(Pastry, Cinnamon Roll & Croissant Bakery)**

**COMPANY OVERVIEW**

**JOB SUMMARY**

Accountable for operating bakery-pastry machinery and its associated down-stream equipment. Will monitor and control the continuous flow of product thru the production process; from mixing ingredients to oven baking to product packaging. Will adjust control panel settings as needed. Collaborates with the team members, maintenance and supervisor to maintain a safe work environment and adhering to Crown Bakeries GMPs and established procedures.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Operate assigned machinery in a safe and efficient manner.

* Equipment may include Oven systems, Mixer & blender equipment, Frosting Coating machine, Bagging Machines, pan washing machines.

* Maintains and adjusts freezer-retard temperature and sets timer to required setting.

* Monitors the process to ensure continues bakery product process flow through conveyor systems.

* Will operate various PLC panels to control proper flow of product.

* Troubleshoots process and makes speed adjustments.

* Document weight, product yield, downtime and additional metrics.

* Collaborates with the in-line Product Laminator and Mixer to ensure continues product flow.

* Adjusts Ensuring product standards, specifications, and customer requirements are met.

**FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Follow all GMP's, Food Defense and quality policies

* Ensures all GMP and all food hygiene and safety standards are in compliance

* Report all food safety incidents such as GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detector, screen or magnet deviancies', glass breakage, and pest harborage.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

* Must be flexible with schedule, including start times and weekend work.

* Willing to acquire a wide variety of skills to assist the surrounding team and fully understand the processes.

* Able to problem solve, learn on the fly, process and technical learning, and quality decision.

* Must be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**

* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

* Reach above shoulder height.

* Able to bend, twist, stand, climb stairs/ladders, push/pull, and walk for the length of shift.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

* Work in a noisy environment.

* Work in an enclosed indoors area.

* Work in wet and/or humid conditions.

* Work in cold or hot environments.
