- Shift Leader Job Description** **Shift Lead Job Description** Position Summary | The Shift Lead fulfills the shift supervisors responsibilities in the front of the house. Assists bakery manager with running the bakery and coordinating the departments of baking, frosting, decorating, and guest service. Teamwork and guest service are top priorities. Requirements
- Some management experience in the retail industry a plus.
- Solid understanding of guest service.
- Computer skills: 60 wpm typing skills, experienced with Microsoft Word, general computer knowledge.
- Excellent grammar and spelling skills.
- Positive attitude, good communication skills, and an understanding of and ability to assist in implementing a team approach in the bakery.
- Merchandising skills helpful. Cash register skills necessary. Responsibilities
- Serves in baking, frosting, utility, and GSR roles where needed.Improves efficiency of front of the house operations.
- Motivate employees to achieve maximum effectiveness.
- Provide team member training according to company guidelines and cross-train employees so they are able to perform multiple functions.
- Open/Close registers.Sign-off on checklist in the morning/evening.
- Guest relations and assistance. Day-to-day staffing.
- Monitor e-mail. Create incentives for front of house employees.
- Monitor inventories. Create and maintain a positive work environment.
- Maintain the safety and security of the bakery and the team.
- Problem solve when necessary.
