NOVA Engineeringhas anexciting opportunity for a Quality Control Manager to join our Charleston, SC team. The QCM will lead the construction inspections team, offering construction inspections/testing services for roadway and other heavy civil construction projects. They will coordinate with inspectors, engineers, project managers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects on schedule and within budget.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Lead and manage a team of construction quality and inspection professionals on a specific project
• Oversee and coordinate to ensure compliance with quality, performance, and code requirements
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and clients
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
• Monitor project progress, address issues, and ensure timely completion
• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork

The preferred candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Position is local to Charleston, SC, with availability needed to be on-site regularly
• SCDOT or municipal experience is required
• Minimum 10 years of experience in roadway construction quality/inspections
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and inspection techniques
• SCDOT Certifications
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Able to pass a background check and drug test and have an acceptable driving record
