Assistant General Manager

Compensation: $52,000 - $58,000 Salary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager to join our team and play a key role in the success of our dispensary.

Position Overview: As the Assistant General Manager of Nova Farms cannabis dispensary, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the daily operations, staff management, compliance, and customer experience. Your leadership and expertise will help us maintain our reputation as a trusted provider of cannabis products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing all dispensary operations, including inventory management, sales, and customer service.

• Ensure compliance with state and local cannabis regulations, including record-keeping and reporting requirements.

• Manage and mentor dispensary staff, including budtenders and support personnel.

• Provide training and ongoing development opportunities to maintain a knowledgeable and customer-focused team.

• Promote a welcoming and educational environment for customers, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

• Resolve customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

• Collaborate with the inventory team to monitor and maintain accurate product levels.

• Implement inventory control best practices, including tracking, ordering, and stock rotation.

• Stay current on local and state cannabis regulations and ensure compliance in all dispensary activities.

• Assist in preparing for regulatory inspections and audits.

• Maintain a safe and secure environment by security protocols and regulatory requirements.

• Implement and oversee security measures to safeguard staff, customers, and assets.

• Work with the marketing team to support promotional campaigns, product launches, and sales initiatives.

• Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.

• Assist in administrative tasks, such as scheduling, payroll, and reporting.

• Help manage budgets and financial goals in collaboration with the General Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Cannabis Management, or a related field (preferred).

• Previous experience in a leadership role within the cannabis industry.

• Strong knowledge of local and state cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.

• Advanced METRC knowledge

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Effective communication and team leadership abilities.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

• Proficiency in cannabis POS systems and inventory management software.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving industry.

• Must meet all state and local requirements for employment in the cannabis industry.

Physical Requirements:

• Mobility: Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for extended periods.

• Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

• Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle, package, and label products with precision.
