Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Initiate and update purchase orders as necessary.
- Expedite all past due purchase orders and reschedule as needed.
- Obtains and maintains necessary purchasing audit data.
- Locates and develops sources of supply for materials in his/her assignedcommodities
- Knows the market for mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical materials and also be able to support the procurement of solvents, paints, computer supplies, and small tools
- Composes and prepares confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex documents.
- Creates and maintains databases and spreadsheet files.
- Maximizes office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications.
- Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow.
- PIEE representative/processor. Must be able to process cases frombeginning to end unassisted by others.
- Monitors work order status and alerts managers of potential issues.
- Completes program/site expense reports for logistics materials and services.
- Prepares import/export documents for sites outside of the CONUS
- Performs audits as needed to ensure program compliance.
- Various inventory related taskings including initial spares acceptance.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime, including occasional weekends.
- Must be familiar with all office equipment such as: fax machine, copy machine, and printer
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be eligible for DoD Security Clearance.
- Logistics Management Concepts, Principles, and Practices of Integrated Logistics Support functions.
- Experience interpreting and defining short and long-range Integrated Logistics Support guidance.
- Asset management, Compliance and Auditability.
- Good negotiation skills and supplier management skills.
- Inventory control and handling and storage requirements of logistics material.
- Detail oriented with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Must be familiar with ISO quality standards
- Fundamental knowledge of government procurement practices in accordance with the FAR, DFAR, DPAS, ITAR, IUID, FIAR, and Public Law and knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of procurement for government and commercial practices
- Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Education and/or Experience
- 4-year degree preferred; and/or equivalent experience in related field.
- Minimum five years’ experience in the Government purchasing arena accomplishing all of the above mentioned essential duties and responsibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret flight simulator schematics
- Able to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Attention to detail and follow through is imperative.
