Controller & FP&A Manager Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: 7 years of progressive accounting and financial planning and analysis experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
Education: Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or relevant certification preferred. MBA is a plus.
Travel: 30% travel required.

- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan).

- Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations:
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors.
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures.
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop detailed financial plans.
- Create and maintain rolling forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
- Provide variance analysis, highlighting key drivers and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
- Develop and distribute key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance.
- Strategic Support:
- Partner with the CFO and executive team to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives, investment decisions, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Cash Management:
- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships.
- Optimize working capital and develop strategies to improve liquidity.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and reporting.
- Leverage technology and automation to streamline FP&A processes.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor accounting and FP&A team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Adaptability & Innovation: Staying abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and market shifts to adapt strategies for optimal performance.
- Compliance & Ethics: Ensuring that all activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
- Other tasks as assigned.
