Systems & Network Administrator Role & Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting & Support: First point of contact for IT issues, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, and training users.
  • System Administration: Maintain Windows operating systems, manage local user accounts, monitor performance, and escalate issues to central IT.
  • Network Administration: Implement and maintain LAN/WAN, manage network devices, enforce security measures, and ensure optimal operation.
  • Infrastructure Management: Install and manage hardware, collaborate with vendors, and oversee IT resources at each site.
  • Security: Protect systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats, conduct security audits, and respond to incidents.
  • Documentation: Maintain system configurations, procedures, and hardware/software inventory.
  • Upgrades & Maintenance: Plan and execute system upgrades and apply updates.
Systems & Network Administrator Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a system and network administrator
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and system administration best practices
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Bilingual (French or Spanish)
  • Familiarity with Windows OS and Citrix
  • Solid understanding of networks
  • Leadership and analytical abilities
Work Environment: Comfortable in a manufacturing/industrial environment, including IT installation and troubleshooting at production sites. Physical requirements include lifting/carrying (50-75lbs), climbing, and standing.
