In December 2021, Brightstar Capital Partners ("Brightstar"), a private equity firm focused on partnering with families, founders, entrepreneurs, and management teams, completed its acquisition of Novae LLC in partnership with the Company's two founders and senior management team. Under Brightstar’s ownership, Novae has already grown significantly in size and is poised to continue to grow.
Job Summary: Manage all activities relating to the creation and refinement of assigned product line(s) from research and ideation through transfer to production all while collaborating with cross-functional teams to make decisions and resolve differences throughout the process.
Essential Functions
  • Research and analyze market conditions and demand, competitive landscape, available customer feedback and needs, and industry trends.
  • Identify new opportunities and areas for improvement for assigned product lines. Drive innovation and continuous improvement through improvements.
  • Recommend new products and changes by crafting a business case that supports profitability and quality. Prioritize production development activities based on business value and customer feedback.
  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and objectives to stakeholders, including senior management, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer service. Translate strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development with Engineering.
  • Lead the project management to ensure all product launches are on time, on budget and within scope. Lead problem solving activities to work through barriers. Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during roll out of products, providing support as needed.
  • Measure and evaluate the product performance, user satisfaction, and business impact. Use data and insights to drive product decisions and enhancements. Define and track additional key performance indicators and success metrics for the assigned product line(s), if needed.
  • Conduct user testing, beta testing, and post-launch evaluation to measure and improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the voice of the customer within Novae LLC.
  • Assist in other areas and perform other duties, as needed. (This is not intended to be a comprehensive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities required for this job.)
Qualifications And Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field; or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities.
  • At least 3 years of experience in product management, preferably in the trailer industry to ensure strong knowledge of the trailer market, customers, and competitors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and the ability to use data and metrics to support product decisions and recommendations.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in using product management tools, such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
  • Passionate about creating innovative and customer-centric products that deliver value and solve real problems.
