Summary of Role

The DG Business Development Associate is responsible for delivering an amazing customer experience, both internally and externally, while exceeding performance targets. The DG Business Development Associate supports the Residential and Commercial Divisions and is responsible for supporting the Business Development Director. The Business Development Associate will be responsible for lead generation, new business document compliance, proposal creation, and onboarding of new business. This role will support the Business Development Director to ensure follow-up is completed for all new lead generation, all documents for new leads are fully executed and signed, proposal creation, and smooth onboarding transition.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships between clients and all stakeholders ensuring positive, long-term partnerships.
  • Assist with developing sales and marketing strategies.
  • Assist with developing sales targets and growth projections.
  • Manage document control and compliance.
  • Track lead lifecycle and status.
  • Create business development proposals.
  • Other work duties as assigned.

General Skills/Competencies:

  • College Degree in Business Administration or related field, preferred.
  • Years of related experience will be considered to meet education preference.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must demonstrate a proactive approach to work assignments.
  • Must possess a willingness to work independently, but also be comfortable working as part of a team.
  • Proven experience prioritizing work tasks.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, often hectic environment while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Must be a detail-oriented individual, especially under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills are a must.
  • Hours of operation may vary between Eastern and Pacific time zones – ideal candidate must be flexible to work between these time zones as needed.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, highly preferred.


Experience:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a business development role, required.
  • Solar experience, preferred.
  • Salesforce experience, preferred.
